My Favorite Day At Camp

Hello my name is Chantz and on the 30th of October the year 5’s and 6’s went on camp. My favourite day of camp was on the 3rd day which is on Wednesday and we did three things HOURS of driving and we did the Manea experience which was super fun. It was a tour of lots of sculptures and it was super cool listening to the backstories of the sculptors. We got to watch a 4d movie as well which was a bit scary but mostly it was really cool. Now its time to get to my favourite part going to the sand dunes, we had to go on a little boat, it only took 2-3 minutes to get to the sand dunes and we grabbed a boogie board each and we walked to the top of the dunes and hoped on our boogie boards.  we slid right down the dunes it was super fun and super fast. Then sadly we had to walk go back on the boat and walk to get changed and go back on the busses and vans.

Have you ever gone to camp?

If something goes wrong online

hello my name is Chantz and I will be telling what you do if something goes wrong online. If someone says something that makes you uncountable or sad, first you screenshot it. Second send it to your teacher or someone you trust, but if your at home then tell someone at home you trust.

If your taking a picture of family and friends just make sure if you posting it online you make sure that it is fine with them all.

Parihaka Head Bands

Hello bloggers,

Today I will tell you how to make a Parihaka head band. But let me tell you about the story of Parihaka. The government were taking Maori land and the Parihaka thought that fighting was not the way to solve anything. So they danced and sang and an albatross fell and dropped a feather and they used that for peace.

The first thing you need to to is stick two pieces of long paper with double sided tape and draw whatever taniko pattern you want. Then you wrap it around your head and measure your head. Then you can go over the pattern with permanent marker and cut where it fits. Then stick in the circle and stick 1, 2 or 3 feathers on the inside of the band then you’re done. I chose my patterns because they looked really cool .blg ya later

Going To The Museum

Hello guys welcome back to the blog. My class drove by bus to the Auckland museum on the 18th of October 2022. We went because the teachers wanted us to learn some facts about the museum. Have you ever gone to any museum? blog ya later

Tsunami facts

Hi, lately we’ve been working on tsunami facts. Its really fun, do you want to hear some facts?

  • tsunamis can go up to 100 feet, the more depth of the water the higher the tsunami goes
  • tsunamis can go faster that a jet plane
  • the highest tsunami ever is 1700 feet tall
  • 80% of tsunamis happen in the pacific ring of fire

We did a note taking slide, we needed to read 3 stories and put the facts in the boxes that it told us. In 2009 a tsunami happened in Samoa and it was 22 meters. It destroyed about 500 homes and killed about 192 people. The biggest tsunami ever was taller then the empire state building. Here are my facts that I did

Muriwai Beach Trip

I went with my mum Toni, Deezhanay and Rasina. To Muriwai beach. We played outside for a bit and then it was time. They lead us threw the hall, we sat of the ground. The life guards showed us the boat first it was pretty cool. the life guards showed us there a tv, then the jet ski and surfboard. We went for morning tea after that. it was time to learn about rips. We did an activity about rips. we needed to fill in the blanks. We did it on the big white board. we had lunch after.  We had lunch, it was time to get dressed. half of us got bogie boards and the other half did not. we walked on the beach for the perfect spot to swim. The adults made a box around us to make us know were to swim. The bogie board people, switched every five minutes. We stopped then we went back it was hailing on us it hurt. then we sadly packed up and went.😢

Do you know anything about a rip?
